Sponsor a Hole

In 1991, Ray Pusedu, Sol Raso, Joe Marcovecchio, John Johnson and others had a dream to start a golf tournament in Pueblo, Colorado, to build goodwill and stronger friendships in the community. Over the course of the next 33 years, the Italian Invitational Golf Tournament expanded from a handful of participants to a two-day event —on two courses—featuring more than 400 golfers from 11 states. Incredible!

Each year, the Italian Invitational partners with Colorado State University-Pueblo to offer the proceeds of the tourney’s hole sponsorships for student scholarships. Since 1981 alone, the tournament has awarded over $118,000 in scholarships (men’s golf, women’s golf and academic scholarships) to great students in the name of the Italian Invitational. These funds have been raised year-by-year, friend-by-friend, and sponsorship-by-sponsorship.
